Part-time adjunct instructor position to teach MLT 211-Clinical Laboratory Techniques in the Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) Program.
About the role
The Health Professions Division seeks a part-time adjunct instructor for MLT 211, a course designed to prepare medical laboratory technician students for clinical experience. The course introduces general laboratory techniques, safety, professional issues, and basic concepts and procedures used in major clinical laboratory areas. Students will gain essential knowledge, skills, and professional expectations required for success in clinical rotations and future laboratory employment.
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned course using the approved curriculum and course materials.
- Support student learning through engaging instruction and timely feedback.
- Maintain course records and communicate effectively with students and program leadership.
- Bring current industry knowledge and professional expertise into the classroom.
- Plan, prepare, and present course materials within the scope of an approved course syllabus.
Students participate in both lecture and hands-on laboratory experiences.

- Tuesdays: 9:00 AM–11:50 AM (Lecture and Laboratory) – 8/22/2026 to 12/11/2026, RACC Campus, Weitz Hall W 209
- Thursdays: 9:00 AM–11:50 AM (Laboratory) – 8/22/2026 to 12/11/2026, RACC Campus, Weitz Hall W 209
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related biological science.
- Current MLS(ASCP), MT(ASCP), or equivalent nationally recognized certification.
- Recent clinical laboratory experience relevant to the assigned teaching responsibilities.
- Teaching experience is preferred but not required.
Pay
$39.00 per hour
