MLT/MT FT- MUSC Health Emergency and Urgent Care
About the role
This is a part of MUSC Health Florence Medical Center. Opening December 2026.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of routine and specialized diagnostic medical lab tests as requested by healthcare staff according to established protocols and procedures.
- Prepares specimens for microscopic examination or testing procedures.
- Operates automated laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
- Performs quality control and assurance procedures.
- Records lab results in specified system.
- Follows all required HIPAA privacy, safety, and biohazard procedures and standards.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited/NAACLS approved program for Medical Laboratory Scientist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).
- ASCP, AMT, NCA, or HEW certification required.
- One to two years’ experience working in an accredited laboratory preferred, but new grads will be considered.
