MLT II (Reg) - Microbiology

About the role

Join our Microbiology Laboratory team to be an integral part of delivering precise and reliable laboratory results that impact patient outcomes positively. Full time, M-F, Days (7:30a-3:30p) Rotating weekends + holidays.

Responsibilities

• Performs specimen processing and routine / complex testing on blood and other specimens.
• Maintains appropriate documentation of all activities as required.
• Documents patient test management problems/concerns on quality documents and initiates corrective action.
• Performs quality controls for all equipment and troubleshoots malfunctioning instrumentation as necessary.
• Maintains quality control performance and corrects any problems and/or reports any problems to the appropriate department.
• Operates all instrumentation in assigned areas to deliver precise, timely, and accurate laboratory results.
• Trains new personnel in methods, procedures, and use of equipment and instruments specific to the assigned area.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Physical/Life Science/related field.
• No Experience Required.

Qualifications

• ASCP, AMT, AAB or equivalent certification.

Skills

• Knowledge of quality control, basic instrument maintenance, and procedure methodologies.
• Good laboratory practice.
