About the Role

Operate the plant, perform clean-up, and handle equipment including loaders, shuttlewagons, haul trucks, and skid steers. Conduct general preventative maintenance activities such as lubrication and inspections. Manage plant operations, sampling, and the load-out facility. Drive active safety engagement through formal safety stand-downs, SLAMs, and informal shift meetings.

• Perform pre-shift inspections as required by MSHA and DMME.
• Demonstrate proficient working knowledge of the plant and its operational needs for effective troubleshooting.
• Operate independently with minimal supervision.
• Maintain exceptional housekeeping throughout the plant, including outside areas, control rooms, labs, and dump areas.
• Ensure paperwork is in order, including LOTOTO sheets, interlock bypass forms, pre-shift inspection forms, and mobile/stationary inspection forms.
• Perform routine or one-off assignments as requested by supervisors or process engineers.
• Fill in occasionally as a kiln operator, assistant, lime loader, or other roles based on qualifications.

Task-trained equipment includes:

• Shuttlewagon (both models)
• Hitachi haul truck
• CAT 777 haul truck
• CAT 980M and 980K loaders
• CAT 972M loader
• CAT 246 skid steer

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Able to work a 12-hour swing shift (Dupont schedule).
• Safely complete assigned training and meet performance standards.
• Fill in as needed during vacations, absences, or increased production demands.
• Replace or assist other workers as required.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

• Stand, walk, and occasionally sit.
• Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Talk or hear; and taste or smell.
• Lift and/or move up to 40 pounds regularly, up to 60 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Pay

Starting at $28.37 per hour plus shift premiums.

Schedule

2nd shift, 12-hour swing shift (Dupont schedule).
