MLS Blood Banker - Medical City (Nights)

About the role

This opportunity is available for MLT and MLS-qualified candidates at our Medical City Dallas location. The shift for this position is Sunday through Tuesday, 5:30 PM to 6:00 AM.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all activities within Reference & Transfusion (R&T) Services, including performing testing and services associated with assigned departmental duties within the scope of complexity defined by accrediting agencies.
• Participate in competency, proficiency, and educational activities.
• Ensure daily R&T laboratory operations meet all established regulatory and quality standards.
• Deliver excellence in transfusion services and support the needs of all R&T customers.
• Exemplify and champion Carter BloodCare (CBC) Core Values and Code of Conduct.
• Adhere to CBC policies and applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Attend meetings and training sessions as assigned to support ongoing development and organizational goals.
• Maintain active and current professional licensure and/or certifications as required by role-specific regulations and organizational requirements.
• Travel periodically between assigned work areas to support other locations/projects in CBC service regions, and to attend in-services, training, and meetings.

Requirements

• Active, current professional licensure and/or certification (MLT or MLS) as required by role-specific regulations and organizational requirements.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, extended hours, weekends, and/or overtime to support operational needs.
• Regular full-time attendance during normal working hours.
• Ability to travel periodically between assigned work areas and to attend in-services, training, and meetings across CBC service regions.

Qualifications

• MLT or MLS qualification.
