About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled ML Security Engineer to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity within the continental United States. This role involves leading the design, implementation, and management of security controls tailored specifically for AI and machine learning systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security engineering, with a deep understanding of AI infrastructure, LLMs, and associated vulnerabilities. Your responsibilities will include developing threat models, deploying guardrails, securing training pipelines, and leading incident response efforts related to AI security threats. Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Six or more years of security engineering experience, including work on AI or ML systems
• Deep understanding of large language models (LLMs), modern AI architectures, and failure modes
• Hands-on experience designing security controls for AI-powered applications
• Strong knowledge of application security, identity management, and cryptography fundamentals
• Experience with threat modeling and security architecture reviews
• Familiarity with adversarial ML, prompt injection, and model abuse research
• Proficiency in Python and at least one systems programming language
• Solid understanding of cloud security and modern infrastructure controls
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Define and implement security controls targeting risks associated with LLMs and AI-powered applications
• Develop threat models addressing prompt injection, jailbreaks, data exfiltration, and abuse patterns
• Design and deploy guardrails, content filters, and policy enforcement mechanisms around model endpoints
• Implement runtime detection and response capabilities for adversarial prompts and abusive behaviors
• Secure training and fine-tuning pipelines, ensuring data provenance, integrity, and access controls
• Establish controls for sensitive data handling, retention, and redaction within LLM workflows
• Lead red-team exercises to identify vulnerabilities in AI systems and drive remediation strategies
• Evaluate and enhance the security of third-party AI services and open-source AI components
• Implement identity, authorization, and tenant-isolation patterns for multi-tenant AI environments
• Drive supply chain security efforts for ML artifacts, including weights, datasets, and inference dependencies
• Collaborate with privacy, legal, and compliance teams to ensure regulatory adherence
• Develop monitoring, logging, and detection strategies tailored to AI workloads
• Lead incident response efforts for AI-specific security events and implement continuous improvements
• Stay current with advancements in adversarial ML, LLM security research, and evolving regulations
