About the role

As a ML engineer at Wispr, you’ll play a crucial role in building the first capable, habit-forming voice interface that scales to a billion users. Members of our technical staff are responsible for prototyping and designing new features of our voice interface, building infrastructure to handle

Responsibilities

• Prototyping and designing new features of our voice interface
• Building infrastructure to handle
• Scales the personalization of our speech models and LLMs with fine-tuning and RL

Requirements

• Previous founding or startup experience
• Experience optimizing ML inference or engineering systems for research teams
• Fluency in Python and LLM development
• Attention to detail and eagerness to learn
• Aptitude and clarity of thought
• Creativity, excellence in engineering, and code velocity

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Strong background in machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems and cloud platforms
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Python programming
• Experience with large language models (LLMs)
