Job Summary
Mizuho is seeking a New York City-based TMT Investment Banking Vice President. Vice Presidents will lead the design, origination, structuring, and execution of M&A, equity, and debt capital markets, leveraged finance, and other global products and services for existing and prospective Mizuho clients.
Responsibilities
- Play key leadership roles in all aspects of executing client transactions
- Prepare and deliver presentations that include strategic alternatives, industry perspectives, and capital structure analysis
- Conduct and model a broad range of corporate finance alternatives and due diligence for client transactions including M&A, strategic alternatives, capital structure development, acquisition finance, and capital market financing
- Aid in investment banking coverage of corporate and private equity clients, including pitching and structuring
- Facilitate and coordinate product group idea generation and solutions development across a broad platform of global capabilities
- Coordinate internal resources and train and develop junior resources
Qualifications
- MBA or Master's degree in Finance or Economics with at least 6 years of investment banking, corporate finance, and capital markets experience with a top-tier global bank
- Deep understanding of the TMT space with experience in TMT-related banking transactions
- Knowledge of corporate finance, securities, financial markets, and risk & pricing analysis
- Aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative ideas and/or product solutions
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintain maturity and good judgment, handle confidential information, and work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to convey ideas creatively and intellectually
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment
- Advanced proficiency with FactSet, CapitalIQ, Bloomberg, and Microsoft Office
- Series 79 & 63 certification
Pay
The expected base salary for this role is $275k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
