Mixteco (Bajo) Remote Interpreter

About the role

Certified Languages International (CLI) connects clients with world-class interpreting services. This contract position involves 100% over-the-phone interpretation for high-volume calls, primarily medical in nature, serving various industries including insurance, financial, utility companies, customer service, and state courts.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and professional interpreting services over the phone.
• Handle a high volume of calls, often medical-related.
• Interpret for clients 24/7.
• Set your own schedule as a work-from-home interpreter.
• Be able to work legally in the United States with valid identification and Social Security Number or Employer Identification Number.
• Reside in the United States.

Requirements

• Must have interpreting experience.
• Must be able to work legally in the United States with valid identification and Social Security Number or Employer Identification Number.
• Must reside in the United States.
• Must be fluent in the languages needed for the interpreting positions.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must have a computer and internet access for remote work.

Pay

Payment is on a per-minute basis, with interpreters paid for every minute spent on the phone interpreting. Payments are issued twice a month, on the 15th and last day of the month, via direct deposit.

Schedule

As a work-from-home interpreter, you set your own schedule to accommodate your availability and preferences.
