Mixteco (Bajo) Remote Interpreter
About the role
Certified Languages International (CLI) connects clients with world-class telephonic interpreting services. Since 1996, CLI has served thousands of organizations across the country, helping them communicate with Limited English Proficient (LEP) speakers. This contract position is 100% over-the-phone interpretation, with a high volume of calls primarily in the medical field, as well as insurance, financial, utilities, customer service, and state courts.
As a freelance interpreter (independent contractor), you will work from home and set your own schedule. CLI provides interpreting services 24/7, so availability during various hours is essential.
Requirements
- Must legally reside and work in the United States (SSN or EIN & Photo ID required)
- Must not reside in California, New Jersey, or New York
- Interpreting experience is preferred
Pay
Payment is on a per-minute basis for every minute spent interpreting. Interpreters are paid twice a month—on the 15th and the last day of the month—via direct deposit.
