Mixing Operator I - 12 Hour Rotational Shifts (Days or Nights)

About the role

The Mixing Operator I is the first level of the highly skilled Mixing Department Team. You will monitor, make minor adjustments, perform material inputs, operate HMI control panels, and conduct quality checks to ensure high-quality material for internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Review, understand, respond, and record real-time data on the Mixing Control Panel
• Ensure the Mixing batch runs to Specification Sheet parameters and make minor adjustments as needed
• Manually load raw materials into mixers by lifting and physically dumping bags, containers, and other material packages (up to 100lbs, including climbing stairs)
• Operate overhead hoist or cranes to lift and position large or heavy materials into industrial mixers
• Take ownership of the Quality process, including solids content, viscosity, and grind gauge samples, and enter data into computer systems and hard copy forms
• Complete daily documentation and audits as required
• Follow established work instructions and adhere to safety requirements, including proper PPE usage
• Adhere to general and position-specific dress code requirements
• Participate in and complete all training requirements
• Maintain regular and reliable on-site attendance
• Maintain cleanliness at the worksite in accordance with 5S3R Standards (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container)
• Follow LGESMI cleaning SOPs during downtime, including cleaning designated machines and surrounding work areas
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 1 to 3+ years of manufacturing experience

Skills

• Basic computer skills, including keyboard, mouse, trackpad, internet browser, and Microsoft Office suite
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of decimals (with or without a calculator)

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following PPE for up to 12 hours:
  • Safety glasses
  • Respirator
  • Steel-toed shoes
  • Nitrile gloves
  • Ear protection
  • Clean room suit
• Must be able to repeatedly perform the following for up to 12 hours:
  • Lift, push, or pull up to 100 pounds
  • Stoop, twist, bend
  • Reach overhead
  • Sit and/or stand
  • Use hands and fingers to perform job functions

Pay

Starting at $24/hour.
