About the role
The Mixer Operator prepares dough according to recipes and production standards. This role operates mixing equipment, follows food-safety procedures, maintains accurate records, and keeps the work area clean and safe.
Responsibilities
- Work safely and follow all company safety guidelines and procedures.
- Understand and follow all Food Safety policies and procedures.
- Read and understand recipes and production instructions.
- Mix dough according to established recipes and production standards.
- Operate mixers, including the use of timers and batch recipe systems.
- Use digital scales accurately and understand basic scale functions.
- Troubleshoot process-related issues within established recipe guidelines.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures and accurately record mix lot numbers and production information.
- Clean and refill ingredient bins and label them with the correct lot numbers.
- Monitor and assist with upstream and downstream equipment to help maintain continuous production.
- Properly clean mixers and work areas during and after production runs and changeovers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all plant safety, GMP, allergen-control, food-defense, HACCP, and SQF requirements.
- Maintain safe and high-quality food products by following all food-safety and quality procedures.
- Immediately report any food-safety or quality issues to the supervisor.
- Follow supervisor's instructions and support the shift team as needed.
- Be willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, and assist in other departments when needed.
Schedule
- 1st Shift: 7:00AM-3:00PM
- 2nd Shift: 3:00PM-11:00PM
Physical requirements
- Ability to stand for the entire shift.
- Ability to climb steps and ladders.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience operating and maintaining production equipment and ensuring efficient operation of the production line is required.
- Education: No specific educational requirements.
Pay
$18.00-$19.00
