Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Able to identify proper butter SKU to throw based on-line requirements.
- Stage butter to the line using approved material handling equipment per FIFO policy.
- Safely set up, operate, and clean mixing equipment.
- Accurately weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to approved formulations.
- Maintain accurate production records and batch documentation.
- Verify ingredients, pallet IDs, and lot numbers to ensure traceability.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety, and sanitation requirements.
- Report equipment issues, product concerns, or safety hazards to supervision.
Production Operator Responsibilities
- Safely operate assigned production equipment, maintaining quality and efficiency standards.
- Monitor product quality and adjust within established operating procedures.
- Perform equipment setup, line startup, shutdown, and product changeovers as assigned.
- Packaging, inspecting, and handling finished products according to quality standards.
- Maintain production pace to meet daily schedules and department goals.
- Assist with cleaning and sanitation activities to maintain a safe and food-safe environment.
- Support other production areas as needed.
General Responsibilities
- Follow all Butterball® Farms Inc. safety policies, procedures, and expectations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment.
- Demonstrate integrity, accountability, and teamwork in daily interactions.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous manufacturing or food production experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and production documents.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic math skills for measuring and recording production information.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently lift, push, and pull up to 55 pounds.
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
- Comfortable working in varying production temperatures and around food manufacturing equipment.
