Mitigation Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mitigation services including water extraction, drying, mold remediation, and fire damage cleanup
• Auxiliary tasks such as setting up and breaking down equipment and materials at job sites
• Conduct initial assessments of damage and communicate findings to supervisors
• Follow safety protocols and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work sites and company equipment
• Support senior technicians with various restoration tasks as needed
• Document work performed and report progress to management

Skills and Qualifications

• Prior experience in restoration, construction, or general labor preferred but not required
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
• High school diploma or equivalent

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in water, fire, or mold mitigation is preferred
• IICRC certifications in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) and Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) are a plus
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Willingness to be on-call for emergency situations, including nights, weekends, and holidays
