Mitigation and Construction Supervisor

About the role

We are looking to hire someone for a commercial restoration and construction position in the Tampa, FL metro. Time will be split between performing construction tasks with an emphasis on finish work (drywall, painting, acoustic ceilings, trim carpentry, framing, etc.) and emergency restoration response (water extraction, containment, selective demolition, etc.). The applicant will need to be self-sufficient in how to problem solve and make repairs in a variety of trades listed below.

Responsibilities

• Perform rough and finish carpentry tasks.
• Install casework and millwork.
• Install drywall and perform drywall finishing.
• Paint and caulk surfaces.
• Install windows and doors.
• Frame structures as needed.
• Work with metal framing and acoustic ceilings.
• Handle minor electrical and plumbing tasks.
• Lead crews and/or act as a supervisor.
• Respond to emergency restoration tasks including water extraction, setup and monitoring of equipment, setup of containment, taking detailed moisture readings, humidity levels, and mapping, determining what building components need to be removed and performing those demolition tasks.

Requirements

• Pass a background check.
• Legal to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Experience in rough and finish carpentry.
• Experience installing casework and millwork.
• Experience with drywall installation and finishing.
• Painting and caulking skills.
• Experience with window and door installation.
• Knowledge of metal framing and acoustic ceilings.
• Experience with minor electrical and plumbing tasks.
• Experience leading crews and/or acting as a supervisor.
• Experience in emergency response and restoration tasks such as water extraction, setup and monitoring of equipment, setup of containment, taking detailed moisture readings, humidity levels, and mapping, determining what building components need to be removed and performing those demolition tasks.
