About the role
The Boeing Company is seeking a Mission Systems (MS) Software Test and Infrastructure Manager to join a proprietary Air Dominance program in Berkeley, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. The MS Software Horizontals manager will lead 10-15 employees to drive Unified Software Process, Architecture, and Test/Infrastructure Focus and Quality across all MS Software Products.
The team is seeking a communicative, proactive, and people-focused leader to staff and develop a team with the following functions: Software Systems and Processes, MS Software Core Test Team – IPT combination with MS Integration for total Tier 4 → Tier 6 FQT and Testing.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite in Berkeley, MO.
Responsibilities
- Assist with MS IPT PI planning including Jira integration management aligned with MS IPT program operating rhythms
- Integrate with stakeholders to cooperatively plan and execute cross-functional RAA affecting MS software execution
- Lead 10-15 engineers with the responsibility to establish processes, tooling, and automations to improve business operations across MS software RAA
- Coordinate with product management, architecture, and other stakeholders across the program to align backlogs and roadmap to align MS software execution plans and activities
- Manage inter-team dependencies, risks, and integration points to coordinate and execute cross-functional RAA impacting software across internal IPT and total program execution partners
- Leverage best tools, practices, and pipelines to create a unified FQT and certification approach for MS software products – Enterprise or best modern practices
- Use feedback from other managers, engineers, and program management to drive organizational continuous improvement
- Manage budgets and forecasts related to process, architecture, and test/infrastructure activities
Requirements
- Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance (a U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
- Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1+ years of experience working on and/or leading agile teams
- 5+ years of experience in an engineering leadership role (either as a lead or a manager)
- 3+ years of experience in software development life cycles, configuration management, and best agile software engineering practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment while supporting multiple concurrent activities
- Knowledge or experience in the defense or avionics industry
- Certifications or training pertaining to leading agile software teams

Pay
Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $198,050 - $267,950
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility and requires U.S. Citizenship to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. This position also requires the ability to obtain program access.
