About the Role

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Mission Systems Integration Manager to join our team in Daytona Beach, Florida. BDS is a global leader in the development, production, maintenance, and enhancement of fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft, commercial and government satellites, human spaceflight programs, and weapons. This role will lead an Integration, Analysis, and System Test Engineering team focused on advancing fighter aircraft technology through system/subsystem requirements development, real-time Operational Flight Program (OFP) collaboration, subsystem/system testing, and flight test performance evaluation. Simulation and modeling will support requirements and software development while offsetting flight test verification.

Daytona Beach is Boeing’s newest state-of-the-art facility, emphasizing engineering excellence. Florida offers no state income tax and additional personal and financial benefits.

This position is 100% onsite and requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required). A final Secret Clearance Pre-Start is mandatory. Candidates must complete an assessment as part of the selection process.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the team delivers safe, high-quality program products within cost and schedule.
  • Coordinate with program management, suppliers, customers, and other Boeing teams.
  • Provide technical, programmatic, and process leadership to team members.
  • Monitor team and supplier performance to ensure proper system integration and compliance with requirements.
  • Support production with issue resolution for delivered hardware and software over the product lifecycle.
  • Coach and mentor employees to ensure role clarity.
  • Develop and maintain team processes for capability development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
  • 5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 3+ years with a Master’s, or equivalent with a PhD.
  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temporary manager, large-scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager) OR completion of Boeing’s internal course "Exploring Leadership."
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (or one active within the past 24 months). U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements as a "U.S. Person" (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor’s, 7+ years with a Master’s, or 4+ years with a PhD.
  • 3+ years of experience with Mission Systems.
  • 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
  • 1+ years of experience with Cost Account Management or Earned Value Management.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience briefing senior leadership or customers.
  • Experience with Agile development.
  • Experience with DOORS.

Successful candidates must satisfy Boeing’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.

Pay

This position is classified as Level K (Manager) with a pay range of $130,000 to $190,900. Salary is based on candidate experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.
