Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Mission Systems Integration Manager to support an Air Dominance Fixed Wing Proprietary Program in Berkeley, MO. In this role, you will lead a team developing advanced Mission Systems capabilities using modern practices such as Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), DevSecOps, and Agile methodologies.

You will ensure the systems engineering, technical integrity, and quality of Advanced Mission Systems Capabilities. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, multi-discipline environments and can make frequent management decisions in the best interest of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead individual contributors in engineering and technical activities, including requirements decomposition, software development, and integration & test.
  • Drive programmatic execution for Mission Systems Capability Developments, developing and tracking metrics to quantify technical and business performance.
  • Interface daily with customers and Boeing program office teams.
  • Ensure personnel and product safety related to design, production, and operation of integrated capabilities.
  • Establish a culture of proactive technical oversight and risk management while ensuring systems engineering, technical integrity, and mission assurance.
  • Implement and enforce engineering functional excellence in people, processes, tools, and practices.
  • Continuously assess and update engineering processes for improvement.
  • Work with functional counterparts to ensure process inputs and outputs meet requirements.
  • Provide technical management of supplier execution.
  • Ensure engineering efforts comply with established requirements and plans.
  • Develop employees’ skills through coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
  • Plan and coordinate allocation of resources to meet program goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
  • 5 years’ related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large-scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • 3+ years of experience in leading Mission Systems development and integration.
  • This position is 100% onsite in Berkeley, MO.
  • Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship required). A final Secret Clearance post-start is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher.
  • Experience integrating Mission Systems equipment.
  • Experience with Mission Systems Open Architecture Standards.
  • Experience executing in an Agile work environment and implementing Agile methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating effectively at multiple levels (peers, executive leaders, and customers).
  • Proven track record of execution in a development environment.
  • Experience with modern software development methodologies, including DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working in MSOSA or similar Model Based Systems Engineering tools.
  • Experience across multiple phases of the product life-cycle.
  • Experience applying Program Management Best Practices (PMBPs), including project planning/scheduling and Earned Value Management (EVM).

Pay

Summary pay range for Level K (Manager): $141,100 - $190,900. Pay is based on candidate experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.

Schedule

This position is for 1st shift and is expected to be 100% onsite.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Successful candidates must satisfy Boeing’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
