Mission Operations Engineer I
Job Description
The Mission Operation (MO) Engineer ensures On-Orbit satellite programs meet mission objectives by utilizing detailed knowledge of satellite systems, payloads, and operations. The Mission Operations Engineer is key in supporting the integration and test of payload missions. A successful candidate will have a broad understanding of space Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) and related disciplines including electrical, software, and test in the aerospace industry.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
- Ability to execute technical tasking based on current program priorities and assigned action items
- Support Satellite passes in Payload Operations Center (POC)
- Execute daily standup in support of MO lead tasking
- Run Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) Flat Sat and support testing
- Contribute content to the satellite pass contact plan
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and hold a DoD Secret Clearance
- Minimum: Bachelors of Science in Engineering
- 0-3 Years in an Engineering Role
- Desired: Experience in a Mission Operations Center or Satellite Operations Center
- Desired: Experience with modeling & simulation environments (eg: STK, AFSIM)
- Strongly Desired: Active DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance
Additional Information
Compensation: Base salary range is $80,000-95,000, depending on qualifications.
