Mission Engineer
Job Description
The mission engineer supports Space Development Agency (SDA) in developing the Proliferated Warfighter System Architecture (PWSA). They ensure SDA mission partners understand the execution of missions, requirements translation, and mission outcome evaluation.
The candidate provides mission-centered advice to the Program Manager and/or Tranche Operations Director on translating warfighter needs into mission requirements, and defining CONOPS, COAs, etc. to support PWSA architecture development.
Qualifications
- Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering and math
- Minimum of 8 years' experience with complex modeling, simulation and analysis tools
- TS/SCI clearance
- Strong experience in requirements development and tracking
- Experience in generating, integrating and translating warfighter requirements
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with excellent oral and written communication skills
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in science, technology, engineering and math
- 10 years' experience with satellite and ground system mission and architectures
- Experience generating warfighter requirements, CONOPS and/or COAs for DoD and/or IC customers
- Current experience with space systems
