About the role
Grey Matters Defense Solutions is looking for experienced multi-INT analysts/developers to join our Sensor to Shooter Mission Engineering team. Stationed at customer locations, the team provides support for local operational needs while integrating with Intel Community and DoD tools, services, and data. The Mission Engineering team creates and integrates capabilities into Sensor to Shooter workflows, captures customer needs, and provides onsite expertise through development of scripts, models, automations, and other creative techniques to overcome mission-limiting capability gaps.
Ideal candidates will be broadly experienced across data types and intelligence disciplines, highly motivated problem-solvers, and must have exceptional communication skills. They should function effectively within a team as well as independently, with dedication to the mission and an ability to generate creative solutions to hard problems. Willingness to travel in support of exercises, surge support, or other customer requirements is necessary.
Responsibilities
- Create and integrate capabilities into Sensor to Shooter workflows
- Capture customer needs and provide onsite expertise
- Develop scripts, models, automations, and other creative techniques to overcome mission-limiting capability gaps
- Communicate effectively with peers, leadership, and customers
- Work effectively in small team settings to solve complex problems
- Bring new or innovative solutions to problems
Requirements
- Active Top Secret security clearance
- 8+ years of IC/DoD analyst experience
- 5+ years of mission capability experience
- 5+ years of experience with common DoD analysis and visualization applications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of self-initiative and self-motivation with the ability to work under minimal supervision
Preferred Skills
- Coding experience in a modern software language such as Python, R, or Java
- Broad community knowledge of sensors and disciplines, with the ability to leverage and communicate ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) experience
- Experience in processing and visualizing data, including understanding processes and procedures for requesting, coordinating, and tasking collection
- Knowledge of customer tasking, collection, and processing tools to perform limited analytics and development
- Understanding of Agile development practices and ability to act as a product owner for established needs

$100,000 - $160,000 per year
