Mission Control Associate
Location: Las Vegas, NV (onsite) – 6-month duration
About the role
Mission Control is responsible for ensuring each trip requested by a rider is successful. Similar to air traffic control but for our fleet of autonomous vehicles, this team works behind the scenes to ensure trips run smoothly and safely from our service operations command center. They monitor service operations both holistically and at the individual vehicle level to maximize safety and service efficiency, including real-time management of fleet and crew allocation. Mission Controllers also monitor areas within the vehicle's operational design domain and implement temporary restrictions (e.g., for civic events, sigalerts, or emergency scenes). You’ll have a front-row seat to the operational complexities of autonomous mobility and contribute to shaping its future.
Responsibilities
- Support commercial service operations from our service operations command center
- Ensure all operational teams are ready for service by completing pre-mission startup checklists
- Work cross-functionally to ensure smooth market operations
- Serve as the first point of contact for basic vehicle troubleshooting
- Create and escalate service disruption events via an internal ticketing system
- Dispatch Fleet Response crews for vehicle recovery and coordinate updates with cross-functional teams
- Manage market configuration, including setting restricted areas and hours of operation
- Assist with documentation and process improvement
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive mindset and resourcefulness
- Computer literacy proficiency
Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Pay
$20.00–$28.90/hr
