Missile Defense System Architecture Engineer
About the Role
Venturi, LLC, a Chenega Company, is seeking a Missile Defense System Architecture Engineer to lead or participate in the analysis of future Missile Defense System (MDS) architectures and concepts. This role involves modeling and simulation (M&S) tool development to support MDS architecture assessment, with a focus on assessing capability gaps, challenges, needs, and opportunities against current and future threats.
Responsibilities
- Assess missile defense system capability gaps, challenges, needs, and opportunities against current and future threats to develop potential architecture solutions.
- Assist with the development of analysis plans and execute MDS simulation tools using DoD High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems.
- Assess analysis results, prepare analysis briefs/reports, and provide reviews of analysis products.
- Support modeling & simulation (M&S) efforts to tailor tools to specific analysis plans.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM Field with 7+ years of experience in missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD programs/projects.
- Active Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
- Successfully pass background and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI Clearance.
- Experience with advanced concepts and algorithms for M&S of MDS architectures.
- Experience with M&S and analysis of MDS architectures involving directed and kinetic energy weapons and other future concepts.
- Experience with HPC Systems, Python, and Git.
- Experience with BMD Benchmark.
- Experience supporting systems engineering-related architecture design activities.
- Specialized MDS analysis experience in threat characterization, trajectories, RF sensing/signatures, and/or EO/IR sensing/signatures.
- MBSE experience related to missile defense system architectures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to perform technology assessment & analysis and provide insight on potentially useful technologies.
- Solid understanding of the current MDS architecture and future concepts.
- Experience in modeling, assessment, and evaluation of future missile defense architectures.
- Experience with MATLAB.
