Ministry Apprentice (All Campuses)

Brief Description

The Harvest Apprenticeship Program prepares pastors and ministry leaders for the work of ministry through the church for the world. Its purpose is to offer proper ministry exposure and practice while Apprentices mature in faith: Knowledge, Character, and Ministry Skill.

Scope of Role

The ministry placement varies based on the Apprentice's capacity and interests, and the Church's needs. Opportunities are designed to align with personal experience and to stretch and strengthen ministry capacity and skills.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities

• Serve effectively and purposefully within the specific Ministry area(s).
• Maintain consistent academic progress in accredited classes.
• Prepare for and participate in Cohort classes/seminars on theology and ministry.
• Meet regularly with Leadership Development for encouragement in academic, ministry, and spiritual progress.

Skills & Knowledge Required

• Basic ability to communicate clearly and concisely (verbal and written).
• Strong doctrinal agreement with church leadership on primary level beliefs.
• Teachable self-starter with adequate ministry experience to serve.
• Intermediate ability to lead and strong ability to follow direction.
• Intermediate decision-making capability based on Church doctrine and policy/procedure.
• A strong love for God, His Church, and His world with a passion to grow in knowledge, character, and skill.

Education & Experience

• High school graduate or completed GED.
• Ability to enroll in a post-secondary education / Bachelor’s level program.
• Volunteer experience in a ministry context is preferred.

Salary Information

$18.00 per hour. Approx. 20 - 22 hrs/week.
