Mining Foreman

Responsibilities

• Manages a crew, shift, or specific task
• Reports to Project Superintendent
• Follows TMG process for daily entries into Project Management System
• Submits daily timecards including employee time for payroll, equipment hours, and billable items
• Includes detailed notes in the project diary submission
• Checks grade with GPS unit to verify work completion (when no Project Engineer)
• Maintains site conditions promoting safety, efficiency, and minimizing equipment wear/damage

Requirements

• 50% or more of time spent in the field monitoring production activities
• Lead pre-shift Safety meetings every shift
• Ensure compliance with MSHA regulations and maintain site safety conditions
• Complete workplace exams before each shift
• Utilize 5000-23 forms for task training, follow TMG process for form completion
• Complete pre-op forms from employees, submit all paperwork to Superintendent
• Follow TMG process for incident response, notify Superintendent
• Notify Superintendent of personnel issues
• Maintain full knowledge of employee handbook
• Advise Superintendent on personnel needs/changes
• Advise Superintendent on employee performance for reviews

Qualifications

• Heavy machinery experience
• Proficiency in Excel
• Email capabilities
