Mini Mart Cashier

Responsibilities

• Operate cash registers, process sales transactions accurately, and ensure the correct handling of cash, credit cards, and other payment methods.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier station and surrounding areas.
• Ensure all merchandise is scanned, priced correctly, and bagged efficiently.
• Monitor inventory levels at the cashier station and report any low stock to the appropriate team members.
• Assist with restocking items and organizing displays when needed.
• Follow all security procedures for cash handling and loss prevention, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service is preferred.
• Strong math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills, with experience operating point-of-sale (POS) systems preferred.
