About the role

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our core platform team. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our distributed data processing pipeline, working with large-scale systems that handle millions of events per day.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance distributed systems using Go and Rust
• Optimize data processing pipelines for throughput and latency
• Collaborate with data scientists to implement new features and algorithms
• Participate in on-call rotation to ensure system reliability
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews
• Write technical documentation and design proposals

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in Go, Rust, or C++
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture
• Deep understanding of concurrency, parallelism, and performance optimization
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Familiarity with data streaming technologies (Kafka, Pulsar, or similar)
• Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
• Experience with gRPC and protocol buffers
• Open source contributions or side projects in systems programming

Pay

$170,000 – $210,000 per year, depending on experience and location.

Schedule

Full-time, with flexible working hours and core collaboration hours from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM ET.
