Miners Helper

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow Company and site policies and procedures
• Performs work area and equipment inspections
• Performs scaling activities
• Operates heavy equipment: service vehicles, 60 ton dump trucks, powder rigs, face drill, floor drill and personnel carriers
• Handles blasting materials (Must be able to obtain a blasting license through State Police)
• Performs general housekeeping
• Rotating Shifts
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience operating heavy/farm equipment is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications; ability to learn new software programs
• Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
• Judgment - Displays willingness to make decisions; Exhibits sound and accurate judgment

• Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction

• Physical Demands - Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, dust, working at heights/high altitudes and extreme heat
• Work Environment - Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; explosives and vibration; noise level in the work environment is usually loud; walk on uneven ground and perform repetitive motion
