Miner Technician I

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections on mining equipment to identify and address potential issues.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functionality of machinery.
• Collaborate with mining engineers and other team members to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during all mining operations.
• Aid in the installation and setup of new mining equipment.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
• Replace and/or blow out air filters as needed.
• Operate various tools and machinery required for maintenance tasks.
• Stay informed about advancements in mining technology and equipment for continuous improvement.
• On-call during emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in mining technology is a plus.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in production, manufacturing, construction, shipping, electrical, and/or troubleshooting.
• Ideal candidates will have some experience in production, manufacturing, construction, shipping, electrical, and/or troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of mining equipment, machinery, and associated technologies.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Excellent teamwork and communications skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift/carry 30-50 lbs.
• Willingness to adhere to strict safety guidelines.
