About the role

Cenovus is seeking a Millwright Maintenance who will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and installation of rotating equipment. The duties will be performed in an outdoor process facility under the direction of the Maintenance Department. This position requires performing work in a way that is consistent with standard procedures, applicable training, specifications, and regulatory standards, with attention to completing tasks in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner. Work is performed both inside and outside, in a variety of weather conditions and is considered physically demanding.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive end predictive maintenance on rotating equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair rotating equipment
  • Participate in daily rotating meetings
  • Provide support to engineering as needed (projects, field walks, knowledge based)
  • Provide support and feedback to planners and schedulers
  • Complete installations on rotating equipment
  • Aid in developing rotating procedures
  • Support turnaround activities
  • Work out of lift equipment such as scissor lifts, bucket trucks and ariel lifts
  • Contribute and align to Cenovus safety culture and standards
  • Take training to keep current on pumps, turbines, compressors and other rotating equipment standards and policies

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the US
  • Journeyman Millwright License/Certificate or a related technical degree
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in installation and or maintenance of rotating equipment in an industrial environment
  • Understanding of and application of blueprints, isometric drawings, P&ID’s, and technical diagrams
  • Ability to satisfactorily pass any applicable written or field tests and training as required by the Company
