Key Responsibilities
- Install, align, and set up industrial equipment, conveyors, motors, pumps, and production machinery.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Operate lathes, mills, grinders, and other machining tools to fabricate or repair parts.
- Diagnose mechanical failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to ensure accurate repairs and installations.
- Use precision tools (dial indicators, micrometers, laser alignment tools) to ensure proper machine alignment.
- Perform basic welding, cutting, and fabrication as needed for repairs or installations.
- Follow all OSHA, plant safety, and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on industrial maintenance experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency with machining tools (lathe, mill, grinder).
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, shafts, and gear systems.
- Skilled in troubleshooting mechanical and equipment failures.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in industrial environments.
- Familiarity with welding, cutting, and fabrication.
- Knowledge of lockout/tagout and OSHA safety standards.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-5 years of millwright or machinist experience.
- Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance.
- Experience in manufacturing, production, or heavy industrial settings.
- Familiarity with forklifts or aerial lifts (preferred).
Schedule & Compensation
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
