Millwright / Machinist

Key Responsibilities

• Install, align, and set up industrial equipment, conveyors, motors, pumps, and production machinery.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Operate lathes, mills, grinders, and other machining tools to fabricate or repair parts.
• Diagnose mechanical failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to ensure accurate repairs and installations.
• Use precision tools (dial indicators, micrometers, laser alignment tools) to ensure proper machine alignment.
• Perform basic welding, cutting, and fabrication as needed for repairs or installations.
• Follow all OSHA, plant safety, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency with machining tools (lathe, mill, grinder).
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, shafts, and gear systems.
• Skilled in troubleshooting mechanical and equipment failures.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in industrial environments.
• Familiarity with welding, cutting, and fabrication.
• Knowledge of lockout/tagout and OSHA safety standards.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-5 years of millwright or machinist experience.
• Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, or heavy industrial settings.
• Familiarity with forklifts or aerial lifts (preferred).

Schedule & Compensation

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
