About the role
This position offers the opportunity to advance with the company, become PCL Certified, earn vacation time, mileage pay from project to project, and increased wages. You can also get NCCER certified within your craft trade while working at PCL. Helpers may enroll in the Apprenticeship program and advance in their craft trade.
Pay
Pay Rate: $42.00 - $44.00 per hour (based on certification)
Per Diem (if eligible): $175.00 per day worked

Responsibilities
- Safe use of hand and power tools
- Work safely at all times and promote safety to others
- Strong working knowledge of and experience with rotating equipment
- Perform quality work as determined by project specifications
- Accountable for all tools and materials at the beginning and end of each shift
- Assist immediate supervisor with aligning future tasks to be completed
- Coordinate work with other crafts and co-workers on the job
- Assist in assuring all required PCL and client Safety and QA/QC forms are properly filled out with all necessary signatures
- Work well as part of a team
- Maintain a clean work area
- Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Ensure proper permits have been obtained and have the ability to read and understand all permits
- Keep track of all components and materials for your project tasks
- Responsible for the proper disassembly and assembly of rotating equipment
- Participate fully in health, safety, quality, and environmental processes
- Act as an ambassador for PCL to the client, other contractors, and the public
Requirements
- Pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Minimum of 48+ months of verifiable work experience within the craft
- OSHA 10, OSHA 30, or Safety Essentials certification
