Millwright Foreman
About the role
The jobsite located in Baytown, TX has an opening for a Millwright Foreman. Our Team Optimized Process Designs, LLC (OPD) is an engineering/construction company headquartered in Katy, TX with an expertise in the natural gas, natural gas liquids, and petrochemical industries. OPD is part of the larger Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) organization which provides a variety of capabilities across many industries.
Responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of precision millwright equipment, tools, procedures, and best practices
- Ability to lead small teams
- Assign job duties of the crew and ensure that each employee is properly trained
- Being a safety role model for the team
- Enforce OPD and client specific safety policies and procedures on the jobsite
- Anticipate and recognize potential safety and environmental concerns and report them to the OPD superintendent
- Provide records of work completed to the OPD Construction Manager
- Communicate with OPD Construction Manager on progress of work
- Inspect, move, and set equipment such as turbines, pumps, motors, fans, cooling towers, compressors into position
- Use precision leveling and alignment tools in order to measure angles, material thickness and small distances with calipers, squares, micrometers, optical instrumentation and other tools
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience as a foreman or supervisor
- 3 or more years of experience working as a millwright in the heavy civil construction industry
- Previous experience leading small teams of 10-25 people
- Previous experience in a gas plant construction environment
- NCCER Millwright Certification

- 5 or more years of previous experience working as a millwright
- 5 or more years of previous experience working as a millwright foreman
- Previous experience in a gas plant construction environment
