Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and align machinery and mechanical equipment according to blueprints, manuals, and engineering drawings.
- Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on industrial machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Diagnose mechanical problems using precision measuring instruments and troubleshooting techniques.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to plan and execute equipment upgrades and modifications.
- Adhere strictly to safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Operate hand and power tools, hoisting equipment, and precision instruments safely and effectively.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Millwright apprenticeship program or equivalent technical training.
- Proven experience as a Millwright or in a similar mechanical maintenance role.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Crane and rigging experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
- Experience with pumps.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Competent welder.
