About the role

The Millwright will repair, maintain, and facilitate installation of industrial equipment used in manufacturing and production operations. Responsibilities include installing, dismantling, repairing, reassembling, and moving equipment such as pumps, compressors, gearboxes, conveyors (screw/paddle/belt), valves, and piping. The role requires reading highly technical instructions and blueprints, understanding machinery for repairs, and working in various conditions (wet/dry, clean/dirty, hot/cold, inside/outside).

Responsibilities

• Ensures proper operation of large industrial equipment such as power generators, turbines, mining devices, assembly line machinery, and machinist tools.
• Uses hand tools, hoists, jacks, spud wrenches, micrometers, laser alignment, and power tools to assemble, install, align, and adjust piping, valves, pumps, and other equipment.
• Ensures machines perform to specifications by conducting tests; modifies and fine-tunes machines.
• Dismantles existing connected and independent equipment.
• Gathers and assembles parts for repairs or modifications based on blueprints.
• Troubleshoots and repairs machines, including addressing unexpected issues.
• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on older machines.
• Provides advice and recommendations to management concerning new machinery.
• Plans and facilitates installation of new or refurbished machinery, which may include building platforms and foundations.
• Conducts safety inspections of facilities and maintains records, including safety logs and inspection details.
• Assists with jobsite safety to comply with all OSHA regulations and the hth companies' Safety Program.
• Actively champions a positive workplace and safety culture.
• Performs various other duties and functions as required or assigned.

Requirements

• Basic math skills.
• Ability to use a variety of tools, including blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welding torches.
• Thorough and broad understanding of a variety of equipment.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.

Training

Must provide proof of successful completion of OSHA 10-hour training within 60 days of starting at hth companies.
