Millwright

Responsibilities

• Inspect mill equipment, chains, belt conveyers, gear boxes/drive chains and cranes for maintenance or repair
• Use tools such as forklifts and barrel lifts, aerial lifts, boom trucks, drill presses, burning equipment, welding and cutting equipment, portable drills and grinders, measuring devices, laser pump alignment tools, power tools and miscellaneous hand tools
• Maintain accurate records such as labor hours and important preventative maintenance findings on work orders for creation of future job plans
• Work in both high places and in confined spaces
• Adhere to and promote all safety policies and procedures
• Perform tasks such as removal, installation, alignment, leveling and coupling of rotating equipment
• Affirm all work is performed in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Assist Engineering and/or contractors with capital project work

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 8 years of machine repair, hydraulic repair, iron worker and/or industrial maintenance/millwright experience OR a licensed Journeyman Millwright through a state indentured apprenticeship

Skills

• Solid mechanical aptitude of complex mechanical assemblies including precision measurements
• The knowledge of conventional welding and industrial equipment operations
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
• An analytical and detail-oriented mindset
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED

• 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) or 3rd shift (11pm-7am)
• New hire will train on 1st shift for 6 months

• Commensurate with experience
