Millwork Accounting Technician

About the role

This position performs general accounting and financial analysis activities, supports financial planning, and maintains accounting integrity for millwork operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, reconcile ledger accounts, and generate financial statements, reports, and schedules.
• Record, analyze, and report accounting transactions; ensure compliance with accounting policies, ERISA, and SEC requirements.
• Provide financial support including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Maintain strong working relationships with customers.
• Conduct financial and business analyses, modeling risk, improvement opportunities, and cost/benefit assessments.
• Perform accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, credit and collections, and sales rebate duties as needed.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.
• Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or two years of equivalent work experience.
• Office environment with minimal physical exertion.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, and technical skills.
• Proficient computer skills.

Qualifications

Preferred: More than three years of experience in a related accounting function; technical certification or associate degree.
