Mill Operator - Weekends

Duties And Responsibilities

• Must be able to work independently and efficiently with little or no supervision.
• Assist other mill employees with operating activities.
• Operate scales for inbound and outbound trucks.
• Performing basic preventative maintenance, including housekeeping items.
• Understanding the feed ingredients and proper handling techniques.
• Accurately distribute feed directly to a feed truck.
• Operate equipment safely.
• Consistently follow all laws, regulations, and safety rules.
• Properly complete necessary paperwork and records.
• Absorb and apply new software skills.
• Understand and adhere to safe working conditions and vehicle operations.
• Work well with others, accept and provide constructive feedback, and offer assistance.
• Use analytical techniques for problem-solving, coordination, and decision-making.
• Show mechanical interest and aptitude.
• Be punctual, driven, organized, and team-oriented.
• Possess great attention to detail.

Skills And Qualifications

• Computer skills and ability to learn new software.
• Understanding of safe working conditions and operations of vehicles.
• Willingness and ability to work well with others, accept and provide constructive feedback, and offer assistance.
• Ability to use analytical techniques for problem-solving, coordination, and decision-making.
• Mechanical interest and aptitude are beneficial.

Education And Experience

• A High School Diploma.
• An Agriculture background is a plus.
