Mill Operator - Weekends

About the role

This is a weekends position working approximately 5 am to 5 pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Primary duties include the manufacturing of livestock feed and all related paperwork. Additional duties include loading/unloading trucks, customer service, grounds and equipment maintenance, warehouse maintenance, and other related feed production tasks, forklift operation, and grain handling.

Responsibilities

• Work independently and efficiently with little or no supervision.
• Assist other mill employees with operating activities.
• Operate scales for inbound and outbound trucks.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance, including housekeeping items.
• Understand feed ingredients and proper handling techniques.
• Accurately distribute feed directly to a feed truck.
• Operate equipment safely.
• Consistently follow all laws, regulations, and safety rules.
• Properly complete necessary paperwork and records.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• Agriculture background is a plus.

• Computer skills and ability to learn new software.
• Understanding of safe working conditions and operations of vehicles.
• Ability to work well with others, give and receive constructive criticism, and lend a helping hand.
• Ability to use analytical techniques for problem solving, coordination, and decision making.
• Mechanical interest and aptitude are beneficial.
• Driven, organized, and punctual.
• Team-oriented.
• Great attention to detail.

Schedule

Weekends: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, approximately 5 am to 5 pm.
