Mill Operator

Description

Mill operators use machinery to ensure product cleanliness and meet customer standards. They maintain and service equipment to keep it operational. Key responsibilities include:

• Reading and understanding daily production schedules and material requirements.
• Setting up and operating mill equipment with correct materials and products based on order specifications.
• Discharging mill contents.
• Sampling and grading products according to customer specifications.
• Completing and maintaining production records.
• Communicating with management and maintenance personnel on maintenance and repairs.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
• Complying with safety policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures.

Must-haves

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills, including touch screens.
• 1+ years of milling experience.

Work Conditions

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and crouching.
• Lifting, carrying, and moving items up to 100 pounds.
