Mill Operator - 3rd Shift

About the role

We are seeking a Mill Operator to support our tubular manufacturing group in Birmingham, Alabama as we move to our new state-of-the-art facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate a roll forming mill to produce high-quality tubing.
• Work as part of a mill team alongside mill welders and stackers to ensure efficient operations.
• Operate within general work instructions and intermittent supervisory checks.
• Maintain production-related and quality records.
• Work safely at all times.
• Available for shift work.

Requirements

• Experience as an operator in a manufacturing setting; roll forming experience is a strong asset.
• Mechanical inclination with the ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Knowledge of basic math (fraction to decimal conversion).
• Ability to make quick decisions to troubleshoot basic issues.
• Strong communication skills.
• Detail-oriented to ensure high-quality products for our customers.
• Available for shift work.
• Team player.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
