Mill Operator - 2nd shift

About the role

We are seeking Mill/Mixer Operators to manufacture high-quality printing ink. The right candidate will be trained to operate a mill machine and on TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) activities.

Responsibilities

• Run batches of ink at proper mill settings
• Package finished product in various containers and apply labels
• Clean and maintain machines to TPM Standards
• Learn and apply TPM knowledge to daily activities
• Operate and maintain Hockmeyer mills to optimum OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) standards
• Create and maintain a database of all existing formulas including processing times
• Perform canning operations
• Operate press out unit, pump filter equipment, and forklift
• Act as a QC liaison: provide ink samples, make ink adjustments, and record data
• Complete scheduled maintenance and utilize troubleshooting procedures
• Assist with repacks

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 3 months of related work experience
• Good math and basic computer skills
• Attention to detail
• Reliability to work assigned shift
• Flexibility to work overtime as required
• Strong Autonomous Maintenance (AM) background
• Ability to perform an active role with multi-disciplinary teams
• Good attendance and punctuality
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience (training available)
• Mixing, mill, and pump filter industry background
• Previous experience in the ink industry

Monday - Friday, 3 pm - 11 pm
