Responsibilities
- Follow approved procedures for start-up, shutdown, normal operations, monitoring, servicing, and maintenance of all equipment systems.
- Monitor equipment performance through test, analysis, and report variances.
- Perform inventory duties, generating spare parts lists, min/max levels, and revising inventory lists as required.
- Support and follow safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Perform and monitor combustion turbine plant equipment through normal operations, testing, and emergency type events.
- Perform record keeping duties concerning Environmental, Health & Safety records, spreadsheets, and documents.
- Make repairs to steam turbine auxiliary, prime movers, and balance of plant equipment.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain water treatment facilities such as reverse osmosis, demineralizers, and perform chemical treatment for equipment such as chillers, cooling towers, and HRSGs.
- Support and follow safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Perform and monitor combustion turbine plant equipment through normal operations, testing, and emergency type events.
Requirements
- Technical or associate degree and 2 years related work experience.
- In Lieu of Degree - HS Diploma/GED and 2 Years related work experience.
- Must be proficient with computers, software applications, and plant work management software and tools such as Microsoft packages that include word, excel, power point.
- Must have the ability to work within a team-oriented environment and demonstrated team interface skills.
- Additional years of experience with combustion turbine technology is preferred and will be given preference over other power industry experience.
- Must have general mechanical and electrical skills and knowledge to troubleshoot, maintain and operate a combustion turbine site.
- Must have the ability to work at heights, from suspended work platforms and in confined spaces.
- Must be able to work within rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Must successfully complete EEI's Plant Operator Selection System (POSS), and Power Plant Maintenance Selection System (MASS).
- Must successfully complete a Power Plant Physical Abilities Assessment.
- Must pass a medical physical including a respirator fit test.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
