Military Relations Recruiter

Job Summary Under general supervision, the SkillBridge Recruiter serves as the primary liaison between transitioning service members and business units participating in the SkillBridge program. This role is responsible for identifying placement opportunities, assessing participant skills and interests, coordinating placements with hiring leaders, and ensuring a successful participant experience from application through program completion. The Specialist partners closely with Talent Acquisition personnel, other Human Resources (HR) stakeholders, military outreach partners, and business leaders to build a strong military talent pipeline and maximize conversion to full-time employment. Job Description Key Responsibilities: Facilitate the placement of SkillBridge participants by matching candidates to business units, career pathways, and opportunities based on skills, experience, career goals, geographic preferences, and workforce needsPartner with hiring managers, Talent Acquisition personnel, other HR stakeholders, and business leaders to identify placement opportunities, support participant selection decisions, and align placements with organizational objectivesManage the end-to-end placement process, including candidate consultations, placement coordination, onboarding timelines, and program execution activitiesServe as the primary point of contact for SkillBridge participants, providing guidance throughout onboarding, orientation, placement readiness, and program participationBuild and maintain strategic relationships with internal stakeholders, military transition offices, veteran organizations, and other partners to support program success and participant engagementEducate and advise stakeholders on SkillBridge program requirements, participant qualifications, expectations, and best practices to ensure effective program implementationMonitor participant progress and engagement through regular communication with participants and business leaders, addressing concerns and facilitating issue resolution to promote a positive experienceMaintain accurate program records, documentation, and compliance standards, ensuring adherence to Department of Defense SkillBridge requirements, company policies, and program guidelinesSupport military talent pipeline development by collaborating with Talent Acquisition personnel on conversion-to-hire opportunities, veteran recruitment initiatives, military hiring strategies, outreach activities, and hiring eventsTrack, analyze, and report program performance metrics, including placement outcomes, conversion rates, participant satisfaction, and business utilization, while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and program effectiveness Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree in Business Administration/Management, Communications, Psychology, or related field OR 2+ years combination of relevant education, experience and training Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, Communications, Psychology, or related field with 2-4 years of recruiting experience, education, and trainingAbility to exercise discretionAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to manage multiple, competing prioritiesAbility to multitaskAbility to pay attention to detailAbility to quickly learn technical knowledgeAbility to make time-sensitive decisionsBasic critical thinking skillsBasic deductive reasoning skillsFlexible to work around candidates' scheduleInterpersonal or “people” skillsProficient active listening skillsSelf-motivationSuperior customer service skillsUnderstanding of the end-to-end recruiting cycle This position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship. Compensation Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
