Military Gallery Project Manager
Job Summary
This position coordinates and manages the internal workflow for content and development of the Military Gallery exhibit at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum. The position is funded through November 2027, with the possibility of a six-month extension.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage internal project management workflows, including establishing and enforcing roles, responsibilities, timelines, tasks, and deadlines.
- Facilitate meetings with agendas, outcomes, and assigned actions across all State Historical Society teams (Administration, Archaeology & Historic Preservation, Audience Engagement & Museums, and State Archives).
- Manage, track, and submit all content and production deliverables to appropriate entities in accordance with determined timelines.
- Serve as liaison between external stakeholders and the exhibit team on exhibit related items.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least seven (7) years of professional experience in project coordination or project management; OR
- A Bachelor’s degree in communications, public administration, project management, business administration, or a related field, and at least three (3) years of professional experience in project coordination or project management; OR
- A Master's degree in communications, public administration, project management, business administration, or a related field, and at least one (1) year of professional experience in project coordination or project management
- Demonstrated experience coordinating multi-phase and complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines, including tracking deliverables and maintaining schedules.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google suite for data management and collaboration, including Teams and Planner, and project management software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project management certification, such as PMP or CAPM
- Experience working with large scale production schedules
- Experience managing large projects in a history focused organization
