About the role
Works under the direct supervision of the Military Funeral Honors Area Supervisor. Provides Military Funeral Honors support over a multi-county area. Responsible for training subordinate workers, personnel assigned to National Guard units, and Veterans Organizations. Makes independent decisions concerning the procedures of accomplishing each mission. Supervises a moderate-sized team of highly trained specialized personnel capable of performing unique military ceremonial honors tasks. Prepares payroll documents, leave requests, and other administrative requirements concerning team members.

- Perform Military Funeral Honors for fallen veterans
- Train subordinate workers and personnel assigned to National Guard units and Veterans Organizations
- Manage a team and maintain a military atmosphere
- Prepare payroll documents, leave requests, and other administrative requirements
Requirements
- Working knowledge of military structure, capabilities, and procedures
- Working knowledge of the principles and practices of office organization and management
- Possess and maintain a current Missouri Driver’s License
- Ability to manage a team and maintain a military atmosphere
Qualifications
Minimum
- Working knowledge of military structure, capabilities, and procedures
- Working knowledge of the principles and practices of office organization and management
- Current Missouri Driver’s License
Preferred
- Current or former military service status with an Honorable Discharge
- One year of experience as a Military Funeral Honors Team Member or three years of experience in a leadership position at the E-5 level or above
- Ability to function in a high-stress environment involving multiple requirements
- Graduation from a Non-Commissioned Officer Basic Course or equivalent
