Military Fellowship Program: Field Service Technician
About the role
SNC's Military Fellowship Program partners with programs such as SkillBridge and Hiring Our Heroes to provide fellowship opportunities to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. These fellowships include up to six months of on-the-job industry training for eligible service members. Participants gain valuable work experience and build professional networks.
Responsibilities
- Gain valuable work experience in the civilian sector during up to six months of on-the-job training.
- Build professional networks and prepare for full-time civilian work.
Requirements
- Currently serving on active duty.
- Eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program.
- Associate's degree and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience.
- A higher-level degree may substitute for experience.
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
- Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications.
- Experience using troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time.
- An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
Qualifications
- Must-haves:

- Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience with FCC or FCC GROL.
- Prior experience with Security+, Network+, CCNA and/or A+.
- Basic understanding of Spectrometer, Oscilloscope and/or Pilot Static Equipment gauges.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military.
