Military Fellowship Program: Configuration Analyst

About the role

SNC's Military Fellowship Program provides up to six months of on-the-job industry training for eligible service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. Participants gain valuable work experience and build professional networks.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the configuration of engineering and manufacturing products through the use of a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
  • Plan and coordinate the preparation of product structure to ensure compliance with customer requirements, company standards, and industry standards.
  • Input and verify Product Data, including Parts and Bills of Materials (BoMs).
  • Audit the Configuration Management systems usage and verify product configuration.

Requirements

  • Currently serving as active duty military and eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field of study and typically 0-2 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Higher level degree may substitute for experience.
  • Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
  • Exposure to Documentation Control Database systems.

Qualifications

  • Experience using PDM/PLM systems such as Windchill, Enovia 3Dxperience software, and CAD tools like SOLIDWORKS, Creo, NX, ProEngineer, AutoCAD, CATIA.
  • Background in the Aerospace & Defense Industry.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard design principles, including parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware, and electrical component selection, fabrication, manufacturing, and production processes.
  • Experience with AS 9100, ISO 9001, EIA-649, MIL-HDBK-61, IEEE 828, and/or CMMI.
  • Ability to rapidly work on projects involving Engineering, Operations, and Program Management teams.
  • Product configuration definition and product structure development skills.
  • Certification in Configuration Management disciplines.
  • Military background in Information Technology, Aviation Electronics, and Cyber Network Operations.
