Responsibilities

  • Perform complex aircraft inspections and audits.
  • Plan and prepare for comprehensive inspections.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate inspection documentation.
  • Address significant non-conformities.
  • Train and mentor junior inspectors.
  • Ensure timely completion of inspection schedules.

Qualifications

  • You Must Have:
    • Currently serving as ACTIVE DUTY and be eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program.
    • A high school diploma or equivalent.
    • 3+ years of relevant experience.
    • A higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
    • An Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
    • A thorough knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment and parts.
    • A thorough understanding and experience with the practical application of product audit and inspection processes and procedures.
    • Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
    • A thoroughly familiar understanding of the inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine the airworthiness of aviation products after maintenance.
  • We Prefer:
    • A basic understanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1.
    • An understanding of civil or government aviation inspection operations and/or FAA Repair Station operations.
    • An Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation.
    • A background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
