Milieu Therapist - PRN

What You’ll Be Doing

• Facilitates curriculum-based groups.
• Provides meal monitoring and support.
• Documents groups, meals and patient check-ins and observations.
• Offers milieu support, de-escalation and behavior coaching to patients in IP/Res and PHP programs.
• Might work on-call shifts based on business needs.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Facilitates curriculum-based groups.
• Provides meal monitoring and support.
• Supports milieu including de-escalation and crisis management, bathroom monitoring, monitoring outside breaks, and conducts self-harm and suicide assessments.
• Supports morning routine in IP/Res programs.
• Collects weights, vitals and urine in some settings.
• Implements individual behavior management plans for some patients and serves as clinical lead for the program in standalone programs in evenings and weekends.
• Covers for Primary Therapists with support from Clinical Manager or Clinical Director.

Must Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in mental health or related degree program.
• Master’s degree in mental health or related degree program.
• Intern or associate license from appropriate state licensing board.
• Minimum 18 months of experience in a behavioral health or related field (requirement waived with relevant master's degree).
